Julia E. Nista, Esq.

Julia E. Nista focuses her practice in civil litigation. Julia has experience in business structures and formation, real estate law, labor and employment law, landlord/tenant issues, civil litigation, and wills and trusts interpretation. Julia is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, and Westmoreland County Bar Association.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in French at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Julia moved to the east coast to work on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Julia earned her Juris Doctor in 2024 at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While there, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy team where she and her teammates advanced to semi-finals for the intra-school mock trial competition, with over 45 students competing. During that competition, she earned the title of Best Oralist for Trial Advocacy. Julia was also a Dean’s Scholar recipient, an associate of the Journal for Global Justice, and President of the Women’s Law Association.

Although she grew up in Southern California, Julia’s family roots in Western Pennsylvania span back four generations. She is passionate about practicing law and serving the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania regions with their legal needs. She seeks to assist clients every step of the way, providing legal guidance in an effective manner.

Prior to joining Anderson & Labovitz, Julia worked for a small-sized firm engaged in employment law and personal injury. She assisted clients in federal litigation matters, and drafted a variety of documents in preparation for trial and in support of clients’ needs.
