Alex Kaplan focuses his practice on the areas of commercial and civil litigation. Prior to joining Anderson & Labovitz, Alex worked as an associate attorney for a law firm in downtown Pittsburgh, where he represented clients in commercial litigation and disputes.
Alex has been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2019.
Alex was born and raised in the City of Pittsburgh. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2014 and his juris doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2018. During law school, Alex interned with the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office, Neighborhood Legal Services Association, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a staff and managing editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and had a note published in Fall 2018.
Alex currently resides in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with his fiancé Nicole and their two dogs, Finn and Lucy. He also loves rooting for Pittsburgh’s sports teams and playing golf with friends.
