Attorney Kelly Arbogast of Anderson & Labovitz, LLC recently delivered insightful presentations on the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), first to POSH Women in Business at Napoli Restaurant in Collier Township on October 16, and then at the Allegheny Tax Society’s monthly meeting on October 21.

In both sessions, Attorney Arbogast outlined the key provisions of the CTA, which requires most corporations, LLCs, and other business entities to report certain ownership information by December 31, 2024, to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to increase corporate transparency and combat money laundering.

During her presentations, Arbogast emphasized the new compliance obligations that companies must meet under the CTA, highlighting the penalties for non-compliance and the steps businesses should take to ensure they are properly filing the required information. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of how the CTA impacts their operations, especially regarding the importance of timely and accurate reporting.
